Assistance Type: OTHER REGULATORY - TOC monitoring for DBP monitoring reduction
Reasons: Disinfection Byproducts

Details: 11.14.2023-Ryan reached out to me informing me that he was auditing the system's water sampling for this year, and he noticed they had not kept up with the required monthly raw water TOC sampling. It appears the last sample that was collected was May of 2023. After realizing this Ryan collected a TOC sample for the month of November.

Next steps: The system was reminded that TOC samples must be collected every 30 days at a location prior to any treatment in order for the system to remain on reduced TTHM and HAA5 monitoring. TOC sampling is only required for reduction in disinfection byproducts (DBP) monitoring. Going forward the operator will ensure TOC samples are collected every 30 days. no further actions needed at this time.
