| Details: | 03.14.2025 An email was sent to the operator, requesting the system to collect a nitrate sample, a Rad 226-228 sample, and complete their last round of lead and copper testing. The operator was advised to collect these samples as soon as possible. 01.29.2025 Miranda was contacted via email to provide an update on the outstanding requirements for the water system. Specifically: BCA requirements: As part of the BCA requirements, Elk River CG has to do one last round of lead and copper tap monitoring, which was due on January 10, 2025. The system has not collected the lead and copper samples. Miranda was asked to conduct the lead and copper sampling as soon as possible. Source Water Sample (AS): Elk River failed to report an AS sample for 2024. One AS sample is required by December 31, 2025. Miranda was asked to collect this sample as soon as practical. Quarterly Radionuclide Sampling (RAD-RADIUM 226-228): The system is required to collect quarterly samples of RADIUM 226-228 at the Entry Point to the distribution system. The system failed to report Radium samples in 2024. The first quarterly sample for 2025 is due by March 31st. Miranda was asked to prioritize collecting this sample. 01.14.2025 -I instructed Miranda to address pending violations. Specifically, to collect: •Source sample (AS sample) at the wellhead. •RAD-RADIUM 226-228 at the Entry Point to the distribution. I also advised Miranda to work on the 2024 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). A Link to the CCR iWriter provided. |
