Details: 1.02.2026-The DRC reported the following:

• Discrepancies with the turbidity readings: The system currently doesn't have someone onsite to do the daily turbidity readings. They are relaying on a turbidity chart recorder that is failing to provide accurate data. Due to this, manual entries have been recorded at 0.3 NTU as a placeholder, as the system is either at 0.3 NTU or above 0.3 NTU and below 1.0 NTU. Out of this range, on-site staff is unable to provide the DRC with legible analog readings, often resorting to sending photos of unusable charts.

• Turbidity meters: These were calibrated last week. However, the recording interface remains the primary point of failure.

• Daily CT requirements: The lack of consistent residuals is the reason the system is not meeting the required disinfection parameters. Despite instructions provided by the DRC for on-site staff to maintain a feed rate at or above 2.0 ppm, finished water residuals remain inconsistently low. It appears that the requested feed rate adjustments have not been implemented by on-site staff.

• The DRC provided a quote for a new turbidimeter that is in the range of $3000 plus installation and setup. The unit suggested has usbflash-sdcard capability to upload the charts to a .csv file, making it easy to search times and dates.

Next steps: To resolve ongoing data integrity issues and move toward lifting the current Boil Water Notice, Garden Valley must transition from the failing analog recorder to a digital data logger/recorder.

As the system plans for a new hardware, staff is advised to consider Circuit Rider (CR) assistance to help identify alternative equipment options if the DRC recommendation is not feasible. The CR can also help with identifying operational actions required to meet daily CTs and help the system write up their CCR.
