Compliance & Enforcement: Confirmed Source E. coli: 01/07/2020 - 01/07/2020
Reasons: GWR

Details: Based on the 6/19/2019 letter, Confirmation of E. coli in source water at WELL (SRC-AA) on 6/7/2019 and
6/18/2019, a meeting with the operator, Shawn Stevenson and Zach Golik with DWP, and myself was done on site 6/27/19 to discuss the existing well and possible options such as connecting to city water, which is available at the street.

The operator called 7/03/19 stating he is looking into the city water option and got an estimate from the city.

7/18/19 - Phone call with the operator, he is still looking at connecting to city water. Stated he has a guy coming to give him an estimate next week and based on that will make the final decision. He hasn't pursued looking into the depth of the well figuring that he will no longer be using it. I discussed that there are specific procedures to properly abandon a well, and we will talk after the estimate next week.

8/9/19 - Phone call with operator, he is still planning to connect to city water. He got an estimate for the city water connection work, and is also looking at doing away with the soda fountain and ice machine, until the city water connection can happen.

9/19/19 - Phone call with the operator. He stated the RV closest to the well has vacated the space and he was considering drilling deeper and trying to meet setbacks with the adjacent RV park. I explained this may be difficult without legal assistance and drilling is not 100% guaranteed to fix the problem, and he agreed. He will continue with hooking up to city water as he mentioned in previous contacts. I reminded him that we are only a month away from the due date of the letter. I asked him to call me if he can not hook up to city water by the date to discuss when it would be completed.
