| Details: | SUMMARY: The City of Bend is working on a Drinking Water Protection strategy for dry wells DETAILS: Ollie Fick is concerned that because of the high infiltration capacity, short time of travel across the vadose, and the presence of stormwater dry wells, a successful emergency response plan may be difficult to achieve. If free product were released, it may disappear before the first responders could arrive. The City is also considerting adopting city-wide standards for dry well placement so that future modifications to well locations and operations will not result in frequent updates of those standards. ACTION NEEDED: He is contacting the City of Spokane where the problem may be similar and the DEQ will respond as appropriate. | ||
