Details: | SUMMARY: TC+ response DETAILS: Elloise called to say that the outlet of Reservoir 3 was TC+ FC-. Another sample taken ( a repeat from another positive) was TC-. Repeats will be taken the morning of the 23rd. Also, the outlet of Reservoir #6 (open reservoir on mt tabor) was EC+ prior to booster chlorination. I asked if they normally boost the chlorine and she said yes. They take a sample at the outlet after booster chlorination every day. The pre-booster sample 10/19 was EC+, and the repeat 10/20 was also EC+. The inlet to the reservoir was TC-, as was the post-booster sample. We discussed that this is the reason they are required to cover the reservoirs, and we know that this exact situation could be occurring at any given time, regardless of the sample results. Since they are not providing full treatment (just residual maintenance, no contact time), this is always a public health risk. Since it is nothing new, we do not require any specific measures be taken, but recommend keeping the reservoirs clean, maintaining a chlorine residual, and sampling the post-booster chlorination water.
