| Details: | SUMMARY: City reviewing treatment options to meet LT2 regulations DETAILS: Art Easton is reviewing treatment options for the surface supply. A master plan is being completed by a consulting firm, but the City is reviewing the alternatives of ultraviolet treatment and membrane filtration. Also, the City is sending out an RFP for a consultant to review treatment alternatives in more detail. Art had specific questions about how high turbidity levels can be for UV treatment to still be effective. I referred him to Dave Peters (503-823-2003) with Portland Water Bureau. There is a UV validation facility in Portland so Art may be able to get more specific information by contacting PWB. ACTION NEEDED: Bend Water Department to submit master plan to DWP when completed. | ||
