| Details: | SUMMARY: TOC monitoring for DBP reduction DETAILS: DWP contacted Mr. Prazak with the City of Bend regarding raw TOC monitoring for reduction in DBP monitoring. Under OAR 333-061-0036(4)(e)(C), surface water systems are to collect TOC samples prior to any treatment to qualify for reduced TTHM and HAA5 monitoring. The City was informed of quarterly monitoring TOC when the 2008 survey was conducted. To remain on reduced monitoring for DBPs, the City will need to measure raw TOC quarterly at the surface water common header (CH-A) and report the results to DWP. TOC measurements may be performed onsite using approved methods (OAR 333-061-0036(1)(c)(B)). ACTION NEEDED: No action needed at this time. | ||
