| Details: | Older alerts were addressed with several corrections: cleaning of clearwell sediment, lowering of clearwell volume, installation of standpipe in clearwell, change from flow-based chlorinator to electrically powered chemical feed pump, and a tracer study. Discussed potential reasons why DBPs concentrations rose again in December. Most likely it was due to the transition from the flow-based chlorinator pump to a diaphragm pump, resulting in higher dose than needed to meet CT. May need to lower the standpipe elevation in the clearwell if problem persists after getting dosing consistency under control. |
