| Details: | SUMMARY: Emergency Intertie DETAILS: Spoke with Galen on June 20th and 26th regarding the emergency intertie project with Avion Water Company (PWS# 00091). It will be a one-way intertie (i.e., Avion to Bend) for fire protection. The intertie valve will automatically open on demand and send a signal/alarm to the citys SCADA when activated. We discussed that the city must maintain a detectable disinfectant residual throughout the distribution system. He will consult with the city on disinfection at the intertie. The project is currently in the design phase and construction is planned for next year. ACTION NEEDED: No action needed. | ||
