| Details: | SUMMARY: Turbidity Event Consultation DETAILS: Steve Prazak and Art Easton called to consult on a turbidity event. Late Thursday afternoon raw water turbidity peaked at 1.04 for about 30 minutes. Art suspected ice crystal formation may have raised the turbidity reading. A raw sample was collected for enumeration, but was not run by the lab due to exceeding the eight hour holding time. Discussed with Steve and Art that the 1 NTU standard is not exceeded until the turbidity reaches 1.49 NTU due to rounding, so the raw water sample was not required. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to revise SOPs to ensure all required water samples are run by the lab. | ||
