Details:	SUMMARY: Corrosion Control System Optimization DETAILS: The Fernridge School District originally contacted HBH regarding excessive leakage in the combined system at Elmira High School and Elmira Elementary School. During that investigation, the operator requested assistance with pH and alkalinity variations in the treated water. Water is supplied from a small well located on the south side of the high school campus. Water is chlorinated and caustic soda is added for pH adjustment prior to going to the water storage tank. From there, water is repressurized via a booster pump and distributed through a common line to both the high school and elementary school. This well is the only source of potable water for both schools. I gathered water system information regarding the use and storage of the caustic soda and provided recommendations regarding the amount of time caustic can be stored. I gathered costs for a data logging system that can be used by the school to automatically record pH. ACTION NEEDED: Complete recommendation report.
