| Details: | SUMMARY: Cryptosporidium sampling (LT2) DETAILS: On Monday, May 9th, Steve informed me that the May Cryptosporidium sample could not be collected on the schedule date because surface water had been shut down and no raw water sample could be collected. I received an email from Rod Mingus on Tuesday, May 10th explaining the shut down was necessary to peform additional work on the intake structure (see correspondence in file). Start up of the intake facility is scheduled for the following week (May 16-20) with the expectation that surface water will be online again. I asked Steve to notify me when a sample for Cryptosporidium, turbidity and E. coli will be collected. On Friday May 20th, Steve phoned me that surface water would not be back online until June because the intake facility is still down. LT2 sampling for the month of May cannot be completed. The city is currently using 100 percent groundwater. The monitoring schedule will be extended into May 2018 to account for missing sample due to equipment failure. I emailed Steve to inform him of the schedule change. ACTION NEEDED: None at this time. |
