Details: | On 5/25 I discussed the assessment sample results with Jason from RCAC, and how Well #2's result shows a chlorine residual. These assessment samples were intended to be for raw source samples at the well, prior to treatment. Jason believes that the person who did collect the Well #2 test may have either taken it at a treated sample tap right near the raw sample tap, or possibly the well might have been off and treated water from the pressure tank could have been drawn in the Well #2 sample that had the chlorine residual of 0.40 mg/L. On 5/26 after discussing with DWS, we determined a re-sample (assessment/source) at Well #2 prior to treatment/chlorination would also be required, in addition to the 5 confirmation samples at Well #1 and at least one distribution sample, which need to test negative for total coliform before the Boil Water Notice can be lifted. Note: Jason Carman voluntarily started the Boil Water Notice for this water system due to a contact person not being able to collect the confirmation/additional samples within the 24 hour period. |
