| Details: | I received a call from Allison with Blueflag Realty, the property management company for Deer Island Village MHP. Allison asked me for specifics about the sampling requirements in response to Well #1's e. coli positive result and the system's Boil Water Notice. I stated that 5 confirmation samples at Well #1, and at least 1 distribution sample, labeled "special", are required. I also added that the State and I are requesting that a "assessment" source sample also be re-collected at Well #2, prior to any treatment/chlorination, as the original Well #2 assessment sample had a chlorine residual, and therefore may not have been collected at the raw source pre-treatment tap. Allison said that they are taking care of the sampling, and obtained the proper bottles; she added that someone is planning to go to collect the samples and deliver them to the lab today. I added that when all those samples test negative for total coliform (and e. coli, obviously), then Deer Island Village MHP may lift their Boil Water Notice. |
