Details: | I called the phone number for Martin Fleck with Maple Terrace Mobile Home Park. I spoke with the representative about the overwhelmingly high Lead results of 0.73 mg/L He said the contact, Martin Fleck, would call me back to discuss the WQP samples at the entry point and distribution and also the public education brochure. I received a phone call back from Anne with Shiloh Water Systems, who cover much of the operations for Maple Terrace Mobile Home Park. We discussed the WQP - Water Quality Parameters sampling (calcium, total alkalinity, specific conductance) at both the entry point and distribution system, and I forwarded her the EPA Public Information brochure to be filled out with information pertaining to Maple Terrace MHP, to be distributed to all users of the system's water. Anne forwarded me the lab's results (Edge Analytical), which listed the park spaces and accompanying sample results. Space 5 had a lead result of 1.41 mg/L, Space 17 had a .0228 mg/L lead result, and Space 20 had a .0471 test result. These sample result locations can help us pinpoint specifically where in the system have the highest lead concentrations leaching into the water. Anna said that the system has copper and galvanized piping. In such a surprisingly high lead result for this system, in comparison to 2017's Lead result of 0.0015, I am also consulting with Oregon DWS about any additional next steps regarding this matter, as the recent 0.73 mg/L Lead result is 48.6 times the Action Level for lead. |
