Details: | Anna from Shiloh Water Systems who cover many operations for Maple Terrace MHP's water system emailed me requesting that the County give them an extension so they may re-sample for Lead and Copper again. I called Anna and said that they are allowed to re-collect samples for Lead and Copper if they choose to, however, we ask that samples be collected from the same locations, so that if there were any errors from before, we could more easily confirm that by comparing both sets of results. I also mentioned that although the resampling is allowed, we cannot erase the previous results from before. Even though the one sample location was mistakenly recorded with the wrong unit type (ug/L), and therefore ended up being below the AL when corrected, two other sample locations that were recorded as mg/L were still above the Action Level for Lead, so the lead exceedance status is still valid. Anna mentioned that Marty says that the distribution system is all plastic piping, so it is possible that the lead content could come from the piping/fixtures of the individual Mobile Homes themselves, as opposed to originating from the actual water system's distribution, storage or source. This is a matter that will be taken into account as part of any corrective action. |
