| Details: | I called the firm to discuss the recent routine water sampling that was positive for total coliform and E. coli. I discussed the matter of the next steps to complete with Nathan Quise, the manager of the firm. I instructed the firm to conduct 3 repeat samples from the distribution system as well as a source water sample due to the UV light installed on the system (no plan review for UV light/not for disinfection). The directions for sampling were also sent to the owner of the firm, Rajesh Kumar, via his email address on file and he confirmed receipt. I instructed Mr. Quise to pick up the sample bottles as soon as possible and to submit the samples to the lab within 24 hours. I also recommended that the firm discontinue using the water at the firm, unless it could be boiled first (no ice production, no soda fountain) and the firm agreed that this was a good preventive measure to protect public health. | ||
