Details: Michelle Byrd and I called Mr. Brown to notify him about DWS issuing the administrative order on February 26. I explained the requirements in the Order were consistent with the construction timelines that Mr. Brown provided after DWS cancelled the pre-existing compliance agreement with Mr. Brown and the co-owner of the property. I asked Mr. Brown to read the order and call me if he had any questions. I stated he has the right to request a contested case hearing if he wishes to dispute the order for any reason but that it's also possible to simply complete construction so that the water system is returned to compliance and the order will be closed. Mr. Brown said construction of the waterline and wellhouse is ongoing and expected to be completed in several weeks. Michelle Byrd also asked Mr. Brown about public notice and whether bottled water is being provided since E. coli was present in sample results at the water system. Mr. Brown responded that residents were made aware months ago that they shouldn't drink the water but it wasn't clear whether bottled water was being provided to residents at the water system.
