Details: | June 16, 2025 Update - Brandon emailed that Dan with Civil West Engineering was just out to help troubleshoot the issues on-site and OAWU is trying to schedule a time to visit later this week. Brandon discussed some of the plant history since he started and the constantly changing variables and repairs which made Dan with Civil West agree that mechanical failure seems to be the most likely cause. Brandon said he was correct about the air scour valve leaking (FYI air scour is set at 7psi), it is an actuated ball valve, not a butterfly or gate valve and some air was passing by it. He was still waiting for the part but did expedited shipping. He has a temporary valve to install that he was going to pick up today with the pump so he can continue to run tests and check for leaks on skid #1 without the leaking air valve being present. June 19, 2025 Update - Brandon emailed that he got Skid #1 back into a passing PDT and LRV with results of 0.033 psi/min and 4.433-log, respectively (UF Filter #2 was 3.048-log at 0.341 psi/min). He pinned both filters and it didn't help much but it led him to discover a pneumatic actuator that wasn't closing all the way, which he was able to rebuild today. He is going to keep checking up on the internal seal of the butterfly valves and will need to also check on the valve actuators. June 24, 2025 Update - Brandon emailed that Skid #1 is holding at or around 0.021 PSI loss/min with an LRV of 4.433. he hadn't been able to do much on skid #2 so far this week as he had a coagulation/flocculation process that went haywire and was trying to pump 82 lbs/day of coagulant, but he was back to working on Skid #2 and is going to finish testing the actuators by tomorrow. There are two filters on skid #2 where he can see a small amount of bubbles pass through the sight "Glass" during the PDT and he wants to pin those tomorrow as well since he already had everything set up from pinning skid #1's filters. Action Needed - continue troubleshooting. |
